Zhuhai, China – A faultless run from the Nissan-powered No.8 Jackie Chan DC Racing x Jota Sport Oreca 05 has sent them to victory lane in the opening round of the 2017/18 Asian Le Mans Series – the Zhuhai Four Hours.

The result was all the more impressive for the rookie driver Harrison Newey (son of Formula 1 design legend Adrian Newey) who claimed his first win in his endurance racing debut.

After fighting hard all race, the No. 37 Ligier JS P2 from BBT came home second, with the ARC Bratislava No. 4 Ligier JS P2 finishing third – all powered by the Nissan VK45DE 4.5 litre V8 engine.

After a tight battle for LM P3 class honours, it was pole-winning No. 18 Ligier JS P3 of KCMG, that beat the Taiwan Beer GH Motorsport No. 11 Ligier JS P3. Coming home third in the class was the third entry for Jackie Chan DC Racing x Jota Sport.

All entries in the LM P3 class use the Nissan VK50 5.0 litre V8 engine.

The next round of the Asian Le Mans Series will be held at Fuji International Speedway on December 1-3.
