Nissan unveils the Navara PRO-4X Warrior
Is this a future competitor to the Ford Ranger Raptor?
Nissan today presented the first images of a radical new version of its iconic Navara pickup truck. This version is in the final stages of development and will soon compete with the Ford Ranger Raptor. For this purpose, the Japanese brand's engineers have collaborated with Premcar, a company specialized in the transformation of pickup trucks.
The Navara PRO-4X Warrior presents important modifications compared to a classic Navara. First of all, the front end has a new, much larger bumper with an LED light bar and a red skid plate with the Navara logo.
In profile, the wheel arches have been enlarged to accommodate new off-road tyres. The interior has not been revealed but Nissan says the vehicle is more comfortable than a base Navara with the addition of leather upholstery, a 7-inch screen on the instrument cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen.
This new version of the Navara will initially be offered in Australia and could later be extended to other markets if the Japanese manufacturer believes there is sufficient demand. Unfortunately, Europe will not be entitled to it since the current Navara will leave the Old Continent in a short time.
