Nissan Z cars story.

The Z cars didn’t single handedly kick start the boom in Japanese import cars. That came from the solid reliability and good value of regular passenger cars from Japan’s big three and the biggest shot in the arm would come from the 1973 oil crisis and the rush to fuel economical cars. The Z cars certainly helped, creating a halo car that showed that cheap and cheerful cars from a far off land could be exciting as well. Over the decades the car has grown.

  • Actually for North America it did single handily take the market. At the time there was not another import that came close to its performance for the price. In Europe and other countries it was a different story. Again this is just my opinion.
