It was 1934 when BMW Motorrad surprised the world by presenting the R7, a motorcycle whose innovating 800 cc single-cylinder Boxer engine equipped with a hemispherical combustion chamber eliminated the need of the head gasket.

The advanced engine technology never started the production because the BMW at the end considered it "too original and futuristic".

It was only in 2018 that the Miami-based US company NMoto decided to turn BMW R Nine T into replicas of the R7.

While the company kept the chassis and the twin-cylinder 110 hp boxer engine unchanged, the model had a new aesthetic kit consisting of 97 handcrafted components that included fenders, side fairing, cylinder heads, exhaust system, saddle, handlebar and tank.
