OiLibya Rally, Leg 4: Sherco TVS keeps lead, Aravind moves ahead of Santosh
The strong run of the two Indian outfit continued in the penultimate stage.
The fourth stage in the 2017 OiLibya Rally from Erg Lihoudi to Erfoud was covered in 170.86km in the dunes of Morocco.
Sherco TVS' kept its overall advantage with Joan Pedrero still ahead in sixth overall, despite finishing 10th in the stage on the RTR 450.
The Spaniard is in striking distance of fourth placed Honda's Ricky Brabec, as the three riders are separated by a mere 3m45s.
At some distance behind Pedrero is Hero Speedbrain's Joaquim Rodrigues, who finished the fourth stage in seventh on the Speedbrain 450.
Sherco TVS' Adrien Metge's sixth placed finish in Stage 4 allowed him to move up by a place to be ninth overall, while teammate Lorenzo Sanchlez Santolino also made progress.
The Spaniard in his first rally with the main factory outfit, edged closer to the Top 10 by finishing fifth in the stage to be 11th overall.
Behind, there was a change in the order among the Indian riders as Sherco TVS' Aravind KP moved ahead of Hero's CS Santosh in the overall standings.
Aravind's 19th place finish in Stage 4 helped to be 14th overall, while Santosh's 21st place meant he was down to 15th - a mere 1m05s separates the two, with one stage remaining on Tuesday.
At the front, Husqvarna's Pablo Quintanilla edged closer to a win as he continued his dominance over KTM's Matthias Walkner. Honda's Kevin Benavides leapfrogged teammate Brabec to be third.
