OLD BRIDGE, NJ SHUTS DOWN LIGHTS ON VETRANS CHARITY
Shuttle service parking fee's and traffic fines will amount to $3000 per night for charity to turn on their Christmas lights in a private neighborhood
For 15 years the Apruzzi family of Oldbridge, NJ have decorated their house with Christmas lights. They do such a fine job at it that they have been featured numerous times as having one of the best houses to visit for Chrismas lights. Driving around to see Christmas light shows is popular in the United States, especailly with those who have young children who are mystified by the magic of the Christmas season. This year the City of Oldbridge has levied fines of $3000.00 you read that right, three thousand dollars per night to turn their house lights on. Over the 15 years the family estimates the cost to be around $150,000.00 and if the past 6 years they have raised over $30,000.00 for the "Home for Our Troops" Vetrans Charity. Should they be required to pay $3000.00 per night to turn their lights on?
