On my way to the Abu Dhabi GP, in the hope of rekindling my interest in F1. This handy map will help me find the grandstand.

  • Somewhat off topic but Daniel Ricciardo would be an excellent choice as your new in house pro if he is available. Fast, funny and likable. And you MUST do a show in New Zealand...they are all mad about cars and I think there is a strong possibility that F1 will add a New Zealand venue to its roster in the near future. (Taupo aka Maclaren Motorsports Park?)

  • I am guessing I would crash at turn 5 (if I could manage turn 1), 300kph into a 110 degree bend, ...followed immediately by a 90 in the opposite direction.

  • I can’t express the depth of my disinterest in F1 adequately, so good luck with the rekindling. Did you ever like it ?

  • F1 just doesn't do it for me. While I know it takes incredible amounts of skill, I prefer the flashier sort of skill that you see in rally. I like the skidding sideways round corners, and the mud flying up in a huge wave over the spectators, all of whom are standing so close to the track they might as well be in it. It's just more exciting.

Hey, maybe that's how you fix F1, but a giant muddly slalom right in the middle.

    • I agree, rally is more interesting, for f1 - they can remove the fence and it will get more exciting and involving

    • Which is fair, but standing alongside the track fencing at, say, Silverstone, I get goosebumps just seeing these cars going round. They are SO SO fast through corners. It doesn't show that way on television, sense of speed is kind of missing...

  • Are you sure that this is a map of the trak? could just as well be part of a sewing pattern for a plush toy.
