One thing I'm loving about D_TRB is the number of women on here who really love cars.
One thing I'm hating about D_TRB is the growing number of tribes dedicated to images of women draped over cars.
I can live with tasteful images (even though I don't like these either really), but pictures of barely dressed women straddling cars don't belong here in my opinion.
It's hard enough for women to be taken seriously in the automotive industry. Comment/repost if you agree or tell me if I'm overreacting?

I completely agree with you! I'm really impressed by the number of women who really love their cars and Motorsport! This is a sad situation, even in normal society I don't like this objectification to of women but to come here for cars and to find it again is saddening! Lets hope the current movement goes on to stop this sooner rather than later!
I'm glad the issue is getting more attention. In my opinion it should have been nipped in the bud at the launch of DT.
How saddening is it that it's been over 7 months of this conversation and little has changed? You're definitely not overreacting. Seeing those type of pictures is really uncomfortable and definitely makes women feel unwelcome.
I so so agree, but you have only to look at the bumps they get though , I am a 62 year old woman who wasnt a bad looker in my day so it isnt jealousy as is often stated by men when women object to this. I would also not be so rude as to put all men into the same category but things wont change until there's a food shortage and we women have become so powerful we have to eat the men, That may even up things a little and they may think twice about seeing women just as sex objects. So let us keep this about cars..

I completely agree with you. I love connecting with like-minded women. I also love that there are a lot of artist on DT. I do not, however, believe that nude/semi-nude women posing with vehicles can be considered art. It's porn. I've studied art history. They simply created the nudes to get attention and feed the carnal senses. Just slap the name "Eve" or "Venus" on it, and the artist could get away with it. I find it a sad situation. If these people (artist & models) feel this is the only way they can make money, they are selling themselves short. I'm thankful for how far women have come in society. It will be something we'll always have to deal with, but at least we have a stronger voice.
Besides, who would want to find butt prints on their newly waxed car?
Things are improving, but we have such a long way to go. No butt prints on my cars, lol
Thank you. Don't get me wrong, please. I have an appreciation for the human body. It is meant to be beautiful. People should just show others respect. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox, now. ;)
I agree, with you. I want interesting content. If I wanted to look at look at women I'd join Pornhub.
