Orange Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series and GT3 hit the track
Technically that's not orange, it's Magma Beam
These cars are becoming dinosaurs. You and I - people who like cars - are also turning into dinosaurs. Still, there's no point fretting about it if you can't control it so we might as well enjoy it while it lasts.
Mercedes recently shared photographs and videos of the all-conquering, range-topping, mega-fast AMG GT Black Series, in Magma Beam colour, taking the track alongside its GT3 counterpart. And I think they look excellent. And I thought I'd share it.
The Black Series version of the AMG GT packs a punch with a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8, with a power output of 730 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Zero-to-sixty is over with and done in 3.1 seconds and Mercedes say the AMG GT Black should be able to complete a full lap of May's favourite racetrack - the Nürburgring - in around 7 minutes or less. Which sounds feasible.
That leaves me with a question. Would you rather drive a Black Series on the track or a GT3 to the shops?
