Papadakis Racing's Toyota Corolla drift car is for sale again

Fredric Aasbo's former chariot has popped up for sale again.

Early 2019, drift fans across the world were surprised when they saw Papadakis Racing's former Formula Drift campaigning vehicle up for sale on Bring a Trailer - Papadakis Racing's 2017 Toyota Corolla iM Formula Drift Car.

The car was campaigned by Papadakis Racing for driver Fredric Aasbo in the 2017 Formula Drift season. It originally ended up selling for $46,100 on Bring a Trailer back in February 2019, but now it has popped back up for sale on racecarsdirect.com for a price of $54,000.

Statement on the listing from the seller: "This car was purchased almost a year ago with plans to do a custom build, other projects have taken over and I would rather someone else have this amazing car to make the most of. I will include as much information as I can, contact me if something isn’t covered in the Text or Photos. This car does have a VIN and Title. Some text is from the original sale when I first purchased it along with some information on parts and components that I’ve acquired sense owning the car."

It is hard to believe how you can get more custom than the work that Stephan Papadakis did on this thing. In its current state I am sure even years later it would still be a very competitive drift car in the 2020 FD series, but I imagine would find itself being a museum piece or put out as a smiles per gallon track day toy.

It was a steal at $46k and honestly it is a steal at $54k. You can check out all the specs on the listing here.
