Peugeot unveils the sporty 508 PSE

The most powerful Peugeot ever made is here!

Unveiled in 2019, the Peugeot 508 PSE Concept caused a lot of excitement and raised hopes for a sports sedan from the lion brand. One year later, the French manufacturer finally revealed the series production version of the 508 PSE and the 508 SW PSE, which are very faithful to the concept, both aesthetically and technically.

Visually, the car adds a significant dose of aggressiveness compared to the normal 508. For example, new 20-inch black rims with specific brake callipers have been introduced. Also new are the side skirt, the front grille and the rear diffuser.

On the C-pillar, we notice the new Peugeot Sport logo composed of three green sloping bars. Inside, the 508 PSE is chic with bucket seats combining leather and Alcantara. The green stitching, again typical of the PSE branch, covers part of the seats and the dashboard.

Under the bonnet, there is a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol developing 200 PS. It is combined with two electric motors for a combined output of 360 PS and 520 Nm of torque in sport mode. The sedan then has four-wheel drive and does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds.

  • we all know how PSA and FCA are colliding to make Stellantis? What if we'll see a Giulia with that drivetrain in the near future! That could be interesting! Definitely on a chassis like that! And with that i'm kind of hoping they bring the Opel Insignia OPC back with this drivetrain as well! That would be awesome!
