Pickup Drag Race with a Fairly Obvious Winner
CarWow in the United Kingdom decided to do yet another drag race, but this time with diesel-powered double-cab pickups with automatic transmissions.
Who are the competitors? Carmag states that the pickups participating in this drag race are an interesting mix. First, we have the V6-powered Volkswagen Amarok. Lets keep in mind that this model has a distinct power advantage over the others. Also note that the Mercedes-Benz X-Class featured in this drag race is a four-cylinder X250d, not the six-cylinder X350d. Furthermore, we have the popular Ford Ranger (2,2-litre), the indestructible Toyota Hilux (2,4-litre) and finally the the pre-facelift Mitsubishi Triton (2,4-litre). Note the Triton is also known as the L200 in some markets.
So, before you watch the video, vote down below which pickup you think will be the winner.
The winner of the drag race should be fairly obvious from the start. However, it is still interesting to see how the rest of the participants fare. At the end of the footage above we also see how each model fares in a braking test.
