Porsche celebrates the Panamera's 10th Birthday

Porsche's beast celebrates a decade's time of existence in the automotive world with a special package.

Porsche Panamera was first showcased back in 2009 and 10 years on it still thrives in the automotive market. Having had several iterations both in terms of performance, engines and cosmetic changes, the Panamera will now come with the '10Years Edition Package'.

This anniversary package will be available in the basic variant of the Panamera, Panamera 4 [4-Wheel Drive] and of-course the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid.

Under the hood, no changes whatsoever. Which means if anyone expects to get a V8 with the 10 Years Edition package, that isn't going to happen as it is not available with the S trims. The Panameras listed above all have the standard V6 engines with the E-Hybrid having an addition electric motor.

Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), a full air suspension, and speed-sensitive Power Steering Plus join the list of standard features for the commemorative editions. The E-Hybrid gets a more powerful 7.2 kilowatt charger.

Several feature upgrades both inside the cabin and outside. The anniversary package will have ParkAssist with a 360-degree camera, LED matrix design headlights, blind-spot warning, lane-keeping assist and 14-way power-adjustable front seats with white-gold stitching over black upholstery throughout the cabin. A beautiful Bose sound system comes included as well. The commemorative editions also get new 21-inch Sport Design wheels finished in satin white metallic.

Of-course how can an auto maker make a 'special edition' car and not highlight the mere fact that it is indeed, a special edition car. 'Panamera 10' emblems can be found on each front door, door sills and, as seen above, on the passenger side of the dash.

All these knicks and knacks come at a premium no doubt. A bump up in the cost somewhere in the range of $15,500 - $16,500 can be expected over the current listed price. We speculate that this special package will be available probably for the next year or so. Delivery of the Panameras equipped with the 10 Years Edition package will begin in early 2020.

how much would you give the panamera 10 edition?
