What is Grand Basel
Grand Basel has been described as the ultimate show for automotive masterpieces. Operating under the same umbrella as Art Basel it is not hard to see the similarities. Grand Basel’s curated trading platform focuses on automotive masterpieces.
Grand Basel brings together automobiles of the past, present and future in an approach new to exhibiting collectible and unique automobiles. It was important to the organisers that the collectors and investors had the perfect and discreet environment to discuss the cars.
The inaugural Grand Basel took place in September 2018. Beginning in Basel, Switzerland, Grand Basel will be commencing a global tour with future shows starting in February 2019.
At the first Grand Basel 113 automobiles were exhibited, some were for sale, most were for display. The cars showcased included; Porsche, Bugatti, Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, Pagani and ford to name a few.
Porsches at Grand Basel 2018
The Porsche on display at Grand Basel were quite special. The seven Porsches exhibited covered the heritage of the German Marque. Not only that it was a Porsche collectors dream.
Included in the curated exhibition was the Porsche 550. The beautiful road racer introduced in 1953 at the Paris Motor Show. Porsche's motorsport heritage was on display with the 1965 Porsche 906 the successor to the 904. Then to the modern Porsche models including the 918 Spyder from 2015 and the 2019 911 GT2 RS.
The seven Porsche cars were perfectly curated and displayed.
