Porsche, Mercedes & Audi Sport reveal Formula E Livery for 2019-2020 Season

Over the month of September 2019, several teams set to compete in the 2019–2020 Formula E Season have unveiled their challenger

New to the Formula E paddock this upcoming season, Porsche had possibly the most viewer interactive livery unveil in the history of motorsport. They streamed a “mission” to find the new car within their factory live on Twitch and viewers had to choose what the two individuals had to do along the way.

Of-course it was incredibly long and most viewers were exhausted of all the waiting but hopefully it sets a precedent for other motorsport teams to make their unveils a little more fan-tastic.

The Stuttgart based team has gone for a three-color mix of black, white and red. The team’s drivers include Andre Lotterer who came over from DS Techeetah and 2016 24Hours of Lemans Winner, Neel Jani.

A team competing in the sport since the very beginning, Audi Sport retains both it’s drivers for the upcoming season. 2016–17 Formula E World Champion Lucas Di Grassi and Daniel Abt.

The team has won the 2017–2018 Formula E Teams’ World Championship. The new livery shares colors with the teams’ DTM Challenger.

Entering Formula E alongside Porsche as a new entrant to the sport, Mercedes take over HWA Race Labs. What does this mean? While Porsche are completely new to the sport, Mercedes has the advantage of having huge amounts of data from the past when HWA competed.

Currently dominating Formula 1 after winning the last 5 consecutive Constructors’ and Drivers’ World Championships, a lot of people are waiting to see how Mercedes will perform in the Electric race series. The teams’ drivers include Stoffel Vandoorne, who raced with HWA last season, and Formula 2 leader Nyck de Vries.
