Porsche perfect: take a look at the 935 in action
The Porsche 935 has been a legendary name of the track since the 1970s, so what has 2018's modern re-imagining got to offer? Well, Porsche has released a video of it in action, so we can judge for ourselves.
It's all in a name
This fantastic video shows off what this beast can do on the track, alongside the designers and engineers discussing how they created the regeneration of the classic track car. The exterior designer, Grant Larson said his team been working on the new skin around July 2017, having a short period of time to even get the initial sketches - they didn't even have a week for it.
The new 935 has an amazing bodykit that almost disguises the fact it's a 911, with a huge aero kit and massive wing. It uses the same powertrain as a Porsche 911 GT2 RS – a 3.8-litre twin-turbo engine turning out 690bhp through Porsche's dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The car speaks for its self, the 935 is an amazing piece of human engineering, taking something that was already track hardened and taking it to the next level. What a car!
It's a shame only 77 will be made. So riddle me this...
