Porsche sets BEV world record drift
Porsce recently successfully took the Battery Electric Vehicle record for the longest continuous drift!
A RWD Taycan Prototype nabbed the record, drifting 42.171KM/26.2 Miles, which took 55 minutes. The prototype is a test mule of a cheaper, RWD Taycan, which is for sale now in China, but should be available in Europe and America some time in 2021.
The new RWD Taycan is set to have a range of 488KM/303 Miles, and a peak output of 408PS.
Not only is this a nice trophy for Porsche, it demonstrates the car's ability to operate at high load and temperature for long periods of time, something many other electric vehicle manufacturers struggle with when making their performance electric cars. Congratulations to Porsche for creating this engineering masterpiece!

We all know Ken Block will beat these records in the modified Ford Mustang Mach E
Didn't Chris Harris do the test first?
Chris Harris did drive the car on the drift pad, but the record was set by a Porsche Experience Centre driver.
