Prepare to say goodbye – The Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition is here
Mercedes-AMG has decided to put one of the most insane vehicles in its range out to pasture.
The warlords and rappers favourite that gave the world a piece of V12 powered slab-sided greatness is no more.
In honour of this demise, Mercedes has decided to give the world this Final Edition as a tearful goodbye of sorts. Just 65 examples will be built to celebrate the success of one of the most powerful factory off-roaders ever built.
The bronze detailing continues with inserts in the bumpers, the wing mirrors and the spare wheel cover. It’s a similar story on the inside with a Nappa leather package finished in bronze stitching along with a wealth of carbon-fibre trim.
Power comes from the magnificent twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 engine, producing 621bhp and 738 lb-ft of torque, all of which propels this leviathan of a car from 0-62mph in just 5.3 seconds before hitting the electronic buffer at 143mph.
Of the 65 cars being built, 30 will be heading stateside, and all will be left-hand drive only. This means that we will only see one here if its imported into blighty. Pricing starts at 310,233 Euros with order books opening soon.
