The much awaited showers have driven away the heat. Temperatures will plummet, raincoats, umbrellas and rain shoes will become a common sight. You have prepared yourself for the monsoons but have you readied your car?
Check out these 4 tips for getting your car rain-ready.
Check Tyres
The monsoons can be a dangerous time to drive with worn out tires. This is the best time to change them if they are 5 to 6 years old. Also, if your tires are still reasonably new, don't forget to get the pressure checked. You don't want to get drenched fixing tires.
Wipers
During summer, wipers become hard and develop cracks, so if your wipers are more than two years old, go for a new pair of blades at the onset of the rains. Spoiled wipers will not do a good job of cleaning your windshield and you want the best of visibility even during the mildest of showers.
Electric Parts
Lights, bulbs, wiper motors, hazard lights have to be thoroughly checked as you may be using them during the day in the monsoons. Also, don't ignore the headlight lens. If it has become foggy, get it cleaned to enhance visibility.
SKODA Pre-monsoon Check Up
