Next season will be back up to 21 races long with the return of Germany and the addition of Paul Ricard to the schedule. As a result, we stand to be treated to a lot of racing in pretty quick succession.

Following a meeting of the World Motorsport Council, the provisional calendar has been released and for the first time, there will be a triple header to squeeze all the action in.

France is provisionally scheduled to take place on June 24th with Austria the following week and Silverstone immediately after.

  • Wish they would get rid of Monaco, F1 has outgrown that event.

    • I can't see them ever getting rid of it. It's not very racy but it's a big big deal! Can't imagine the calendar without it!

    • Are you insane! Monaco is THE very essence of F1. Teams don't just come here for the racing, large business deals occur, exclusive parties and the race itself, the drivers love the track. It's a huge deal

  • Just pisses me off that bloody Thieving Sky have it, it should be back on the BBC where it belongs

    • Think like minded people should maybe get a "Bring F1 home" tribe going don't think we would be the only ones joining. I would even have it back on ITV or even something new like Amazon. I don't really care as long as it's not SKY #robbers

  • Would be great if you could actually watch it. In the UK anyway, you have to be mugged by sky if you want to watch it. #F1 should be free to air in my opinion. No1 I know pays for it they just either wait for highlights or just illegally stream it which is not good for the sport!

    • I have Sky but I do know lots of people who have to wait on Channel 4 showing the highlights which is a shame. That would drive me insane!

    • I agree. I can't stand the C4 commentators though, so I grudgingly pay £11 for each race.

  • Who thought of putting Canada in the middle of the European tour?! It must be a logistical nightmare for the teams and added extra expense.

    • Indeed, but I struggle to find any examples of where common sense has been applied to anything in this crazy sport!
