After qualifying for the Six Hours of Shanghai, the Porsche GT Team will start from fourth on the grid later.
Kévin Estre and Michael Christensen join forces to tackle the WEC race from P4 after the pair lapped the 5.451-kilometre Shanghai International Circuit in their No. 92 Porsche 911 RSR in just 1:59.031 minutes.
The sister car – the No. 91 911 RSR shared by teammates Richard Lietz and Gianmaria Bruni – achieved the eighth quickest time in the GTE-Pro class.
In the GTE-Am category, the Dempsey-Proton Racing customer team narrowly missed out on pole after finishing qualifying just 0.067 seconds shy of the leader. The team’s two cars will start from P2 and P4, with the Gulf Racing 911 RSR joining the grid in eighth.
Round five of the FIA WEC Super Season gets underway at 04:00 CET on Sunday.
