Rally America. PPIHC, and now I'm building a WRX for Global Time Attack, but in my daily life I'm just another woman in a STEM field. I build. I own. I drive. Live life to the fullest, never let anyone tell you that you can't. @wrxgrl on Instagram.

  • Great, thanks for explaining. I might get back to you with more questions when I'm seriously looking at my first sti! ;)

  • 2015+ means 2015, 2016, 2017 generation (and any others in that body style so far). The biggest difference that I felt in driving it was the seam welding that was added, which gave the chassis added stiffness and a much crisper feel with steering just in stock form.

  • Thanks, good to know! Just to clarify, with 15+ you mean 2015 and younger? I'm not familiar with Scooby-slang yet ;)

  • Martine: The 15+ platform for the STI/WRX is their best yet! I had a 15 WRX and loved it. The only Subaru daily driver I loved more than the 15 was the 2006 STI that I had and autox'd with. The 02 Bugeye is what I always seem to end up racing in though, and its been a riot building and working on them. No matter what Subaru you end up with, you'll have a large community of Subaru owners that are willing to converse/share/help out, and good portion of us are STEM too.

  • Awesome and welcome! I'm also "just another woman in tech" in daily life. Just as normal as guys working in tech/STEM, right? ;)

And love your WRX. I'm considering an STI as next daily driver....
