Clearly too slow off the mark if the guy from the back is now beside you. No wonder he went for it. What is worse, is being stuck behind a long line of cars that cruise at 40 to 45 mph in a 60mph zone, then stay at 40 to 45 when they reach towns where the limit is 30, and prevent overtaking one car at a time because they all drive 6ft from each other’s bumper. They are truly the dangerous, thoughtless drivers.
There is another side to this at least here in the States.... That is, you are at the back of the pack, you hit the straight..... And Nobody passes, they all stay in their spots, without even a hint on life.
Then react faster clearly if your in the front of the line then you have first choice. I hate it when people take there time overtaking. Get it done and get back into the snow lane. The rest of us have shit do do. Catch a bus or drive faster.

Agreed. Or worse; you’re on a 4 lane highway with 4 cars going lower than the speed limit, not allowing anyone to pass... That’s irritating.
