I freaked out when I saw this rarity roll into the service station. I have just learned about Panoz around a month ago when I spotted a Panoz Esperente GTLM (another rare car with only 30 GTLM's made according to the owner).
Unfortunately, and fortunately, this Panoz Roadster just came back to the owner from the shop after someone rammed into it on the Oakland Bridge.
Produced by an American racing team/small car maker named Panoz, the Roadster's original production run was between 1992 and 1999, being replaced by the Esperente. (Although the roadster was resurrected in 2015).
The Roadster utilized a 5.0L Ford V8 in the original 44 units produced between 1992 and 1995, and a 4.6L Ford V8 in the 176 later units of AIV Roadsters between 1996 and 1999.
The owner was super nice and I am incredibly happy to see one of these rare gems.
Although the Roadster is resuming production, these original ones will always be a bit more special. What do you think of the Panoz Roadster?
