REC releases two new watches in collaboration with Porsche Tuner Akira Nakai
You know this is going to be epic.
Porsche Tuner Akira Nakai is very famous for his cars with a special badge - RWB (RAUH Welt Begriff). Denmark's REC watches is well known for using parts salvaged from important vehicles. For two limited edition watches REC has collaborated with Porsche Tuner Akira Nakai. The source of this special watches are two cars, the Stella Artois, a 1985 Porsche the first car with the full RWB conversion and the Rotana, a bright purple 911 Turbo meant for the track.

The dials of these watches are taken from the car, the rest of the watch in both variants are stainless steel 46 mm case which encloses a Miyota 9100 movement paired to a rubber RWB branded strap. It is also water resistant to 50 metres. The dial mimics the pedals and gauges showing it was similar to Porsche they were sourced from. The Stella feature yellow highlights and the Rotana features purple highlights on the side representing each car, which is also similar to the wide body kit that RWB features.
This watch comes with a price - $1,795 and both variants is limited to 305 examples. In my opinion, it is worth it because you are wearing a bit of history on your wrist.
