Red Bull Racing has announced a first-ever F1 sponsorship deal with a cryptocurrency company while McLaren has added Huski Chocolate as its rear wing sponsor.

With less than a week remaining for either of the teams to reveal its 2019 F1 challenger along with the livery, Red Bull and McLaren has named a new sponsor each for their respective campaigns in the new year.

In what is a first time in F1, Red Bull has signed a deal with FuturoCoin - which deals with cryptocurreny. The multi-year deal will see the company's branding on the RB15 along with the drivers' overalls and team personnel's kit.

"In recent years, the rise of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies has been truly remarkable, and we’re delighted to be the first Formula One team to embrace this, through our partnership with FuturoCoin," said Christian Horner.

"Secure digital currencies are on the leading edge of technological development and we are very excited to be part of this revolution." The deal comes at an interesting time when cryptocurrency is not termed as a legal tender in various countries.

FuturoCoin co-founder, Roman Ziemian added: "Cryptocurrencies and Formula One are very similar and their values are much alike; speed, technology and being ahead of their time. I’m a huge fan of motorsport and F1 has always intrigued me.

"The sponsorship is an exciting new chapter for our company and will be a global platform for us to drive awareness of FuturoCoin." The company's CEO, Paulina Wozniak said: "We are very proud that FuturoCoin will be the first cryptocurrency in the world to appear on a Formula One car.

"In addition, we are looking forward to working alongside Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, a prestigious brand that is recognised across the world." Red Bull is slated to reveal RB15 on February 13 after the team showcased Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly's overalls.

Meanwhile, McLaren has added another new sponsor with Swedish company Huski Chocolate joining after announcing Estrella Galicia 0,0 last week. The multi-year deal has huge significance as the branding will feature on the rear wing of MCL34.

In addition, the logos will appear on the drivers' overalls along with the team personnel's kit. "We’re pleased to have Huski Chocolate on-board with our team and support the company in their ambitious plans by introducing them to our global sport.

"I look forward to enjoying a drink together at track, and sharing our adventure with our new partners," said McLaren Racing CEO, Zak Brown. The Huski hot chocolate will be served at MTC and also in the hospitality during the F1 races.

Fredrik von Essen, Chairman, Huski added: "Huski Chocolate has always been about lifestyle and adventure, so what better platform to support our further expansion than the unique lifestyle of Formula 1.

"After we met with McLaren at the team’s headquarters in the UK, we were convinced that they were the right partner to help us market our new unique cold chocolate drink worldwide." The 2019 car will be revealed on February 14.
