BMW Group India has expressed their joy as they re-start operations at BMW, Mini and BMW Motorrad dealerships, Chennai plant and corporate office. Customers will now be able to explore and experience their favourite BMWs in a safe, sanitized environment. BMW's Chennai plant has resumed with less than 50% workforce. Standard operating procedures have been implemented to ensure all vehicles at the dealership are sanitized. All vehicles, new and serviced will be handed over to the customers at the location of their choice. Test drive vehicles are available at each dealership.

Also, BMW Group has introduced hygiene packages for BMW, Mini and BMW Motorrad dealerships. These hygiene packages are a combination of high-quality premium care products that go together. These packages aim to create a safe environment and protection for occupants. All materials in these hygiene packages are tailored for the care of valuable materials in the car and clean them gently avoiding damage. These products can be used by the customers themselves. Three types of hygiene packages have been launched .

‘Full Car’ package is a one-stop solution to keep the car clean and shiny as brand new with a seal and protect kit. ‘Air’ package consists of AC systems cleaner, 2.5 PM filter and ozonizer which ensure a better quality of air inside the car along with protection from pollutants. ‘Interior’ package ensures complete cleanliness and decontamination of car interiors with products such as glass cleaner, interior cleaner, leather care set, leather foam cleaner and micro-fibre cloth.

These packages will be available from June 15, 2020, at all dealerships and customers can purchase them at a discounted price, till July 31, 2020. Also, with the purchase of a BMW motorcycle, a special care kit, dubbed 'BMW Motorrad Care Kit' to help enjoy their machines to the max.

Keeping on the topic of sanitizing, all vehicles will go through at least one stage of sanitization and will have provision for sanitizing occupants and the vehicle itself. Demo vehicles will be sanitized before each test drive and will have hand sanitizers placed in them. Repair and maintenance will be carried out by service engineers wearing full personal protective gear. Vehicles in line for delivery, new and serviced, will also be completely sanitized before being handed over to the customer.

With the introduction of industry first, Hygiene Packages and many such initiatives, such as Contactless Experience, Extended Care+, to name a few, BMW aims to allow customers to care for their favourite BMW cars and bikes alike.
