RENAULT DUSTER EXTREME: DON'T CALL IT SUV
On the occasion of the 2016 São Paulo motor show, Renault presented an extreme version of its Duster
Since its launch on the Brazilian market in 2011, the Renault Duster (sold in Europe under the Dacia brand) has always been one of the best-selling models of the French manufacturer in the South American country, thanks to its great practicality and mechanical strength.

Being already a perfect connection between an SUV and an SUV, it was proposed in a special variant designed for off-road routes at the 2016 Sao Paulo motor show.

Called Duster Extreme, it was equipped with a flex fuel 2.0 engine with a power of 148 hp managed by a six-speed manual transmission and combined with four-wheel drive. Capable of reaching the top speed of 170 km / h, it is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 11.1 seconds.

To adapt to rough terrains and prohibitive environmental conditions, the vehicle has been equipped with numerous accessories including an additional lighting system with LED technology mounted above the windscreen, a high-performance winch integrated into the bumper, raised trim, specific tires for off-road, front hooks for carabiners and a new roof configured to accommodate different luggage.

Left at the concept car stage, it served as a technological demonstration for a wide range of accessories made available on the standard Duster as options in the following years.
