Rendering artist creates McLaren Speedtail Roadster
We love seeing fantasy cars from time to time. There are so many on the internet, it is often difficult to find good ones. Well, I follow an artist on Instagram called @fmpnick (Nicolas Proulx) and he's created his own versions using the regular Speedtail as a basis.
MSO FMP Speedtail Roadster
We're not sure if McLaren will ever build a roadster version of the Speedtail but Nick has given it a go and it looks stunning. If it were real, the top speed would be reduced from 250mph due to the roof being absent and the front wheel cover being taken off.
We think it looks stunning though.
This version of the Speedtail is to Nick's own liking. It's quite different to the real Speedtail with changes to the rear bodywork, making it shorter, the addition of a roof scoop, removal of the front wheel cover and body louvers on the front wheel arches.
There a few other changes too, including a vent on the door, slightly different side skirts and a more aggressive front bumper.
MSO Speedtail Track
The Speedtail Track edition takes a lot of it's styling influences from the recent Senna, such as the extra window in the door, massive rear wing and the traditional door mirrors. A more defined roof scoop has been added to the car and let's not forget about the Gulf livery Nick has given this car.
Which one do you prefer?
I personally would go for the Speedtail Roadster but I want to know what you think. Leave a comment saying which one is your favourite.
