Dodge has no plans to replace the third-generation Challenger yet. It must be said that despite its twelve years of existence, the car hasn't aged a day thanks to its iconic style! As a result, the American brand continues to develop its muscle car with a new version.

According to a report from Allpart, Dodge is developing the Challenger ACR, which is none other than the track-oriented version of the Challenger. This car will undergo the same treatment as the Neon ACR and Viper ACR, namely a significant weight reduction combined with a major improvement in aerodynamics.

For example, carbon fiber will replace many steel parts to save weight and optimize agility on the track. The car should adopt Brembo brakes to ensure good braking performance and the suspension would most likely be adjustable on demand.

Under the hood, the future Challenger ACR will receive two engines. One would be the 6.2-litre Hellcat V8 with 808 bhp and the other would be the naturally aspirated HEMI 392 V8. These two options will allow the car to race in competitions that do not allow supercharged engines. No presentation date has yet been announced.
