The next leg of the millionth 911’s world tour has begun – touchdown in China
It’s explored the wilds of Scotland and the beating heart of Le Mans, cruised the mean streets of Manhattan and the sun-kissed Pacific Coast Highway, and now our millionth 911 has made landfall again.
Mainland China, Porsche’s largest single market, will play host to Porsche’s Irish Green milestone for a month, taking in some of the country’s most significant sites in the process. Kicking off a packed itinerary will be an entry into the Great Wall Classic Car Rally in Beijing. The weekend will also feature an event with Porsche’s Museum Director Achim Stejskal and two-time Le Mans winner Hans-Joachim Stuck, who will discuss vintage Porsche culture alongside its rapidly evolving technologies.
Next up is an appearance at the YanQui Island Concours d’Elegance, where it will rub shoulders with other rarities from the Zuffenhausen stable including a wide-bodied 911 Speedster, a 964 Superccup racer and an early 911 Targa.
Peak glamour comes in Shanghai at the 1 Millionth 911 Jubilee Celebration Night, a red carpet shindig that will allow Porsche collectors, local executives, fans and media to mingle and enjoy their shared passion at one of the most prestigious nights on China’s automotive calendar.
The climax of the car’s jam-packed schedule will be an appearance at the Guangzhou Auto Show, which will give thousands more enthusiasts from across Asia the chance to see this monument to Porsche’s determined pursuit of perfection.
