Let's face it, we read all these reviews on ridiculous supercars that are simply not practical for our daily commute. As entertaining as this may be, I wanted to take a break from the fantasy world of discussing the wonders of McLaren, Rolls Royce, and Bugatti. Instead, I decided to review a 2008 Nissan Altima. Because... why not? If you own a Honda Civic, I'm sorry-- I'll get to you eventually. For now, let us take a look at this pretty little rust bucket.
Specs
The 2008 Nissan Altima has got a I4 engine, 2.5L engine, and 175 HP. It's front wheel drive which obviously makes it helpful in the snow and rain. And it has fancy twin exhausts just like the Jaguar XK.
The Lustrous Appearance
The fluorescent lighting really makes this car stand out! Well you know, if you compare it to that other dull grey Nissan Altima in the back. The brilliant white paint job also really brings out the splattering of dead bugs on the front. It's the classic look that shows that you care about keeping your car clean but not too clean.
The Tech-y Interior
The 2008 Altima has features for navigation, Bluetooth, and iPod connectivity. What's more, it comes equipped with keyless entry, a push button start, and a sunroof for an ideal forehead tan. These were pretty expensive options back then okay? You are looking at classic 2008 luxury right here. If your car is as old as this and can do better, let me know in the comments and I'll be impressed.
The interior is surprisingly decent looking. It is pretty spacious for a little sedan and you're able to fit a lot more than you think. The trunk space is also quite large and carries everything you want. I think this is one of the most important features considering it can be a challenge to find a partner who wants to help me carry my stuff nowadays. Chivalry isn't dead.. you just need a car.
Personalized Detailing
With an old car, you're bound to get your own unique details on it. Whether it's an indented bumper, scratches, rust, or a *slightly* cracked windshield that you're just too lazy to replace, this car has effectively become an extension of you and all of your insecurities.
It's A Tank
This "thing" just keeps on going. This particular Nissan has got a mileage of 190,000 kilometres. No matter what you put it through, you can have the confidence that it will keep on running. Why don't they make cars like this anymore?
The Sound
Similar with my previous Aston Martin V8 Vantage car review, the 2008 Nissan Altima has got a little baby purr of its own. Turn up your volume and try not to cringe! 😂
It's The Perfect Beater
It's an in transition car. With this in mind, you're okay to do weird things with it, like what I'm doing above. It makes life more fun when you're not worried about destroying the one thing that you have put all of your savings into to keep it running.
