Richard Hammond capsized a local fisherman's boat during The Grand Tour's 'Lochdown'

Uh oh...

Just a day before the show is set to air on Amazon Prime, Richard Hammond has revealed he had a little bit of an accident while filming for the new Grand Tour special set in Scotland.

As part of one of the show's segments, the trio is in need of a boat to make a bridge and manage to borrow one โ€“ but it is owned by a local fisherman.

In a recent interview with 'This Morning' Hammond reveals he accidentally capsized and sunk the local fisherman's boat and he feels really bad about it. He said: "I tied it onto this massive floating pontoon that Jeremy was on, so with him on, it weighed a couple of thousand tonnes.

"I was trying to pull it with this little boat but I'd tied it on the top and then completely unexpectedly, it flips the boat and sinks."

This incident was completely unplanned as Richard goes onto say โ€“ and he feels really bad about it, but these sorts of incidents are what make the show. He also speaks on an incident Jeremy had with a towbar that fell off and we can't wait to see that.

The Grand Tour 'Lochdown' special comes out tomorrow (July 30th) on Amazon Prime.

  • Heโ€™s building a restoration business, maybe he should include accident damage of everything he breaks.

    • YouTube money will keep it afloat and the losses this makes will offset profits elsewhere reducing his tax bill.

  • Does that mean the fisherman wonโ€™t be coming on then?
