Richard's dig at 'a TV show' he 'used to do' is the funniest thing I heard today

'Top something-or-other'

5w ago

Richard Hammond reunited with Oliver, the 1963 Opel Kadett that he drove through the Okavango Delta for the Botswana Special in 2007. It's always funny when Richard, James and Jeremy talk about old Top Gear because they usually end up sarcastic about it. And I find it entertaining.

In the video, Richard says he bought the car in Botswana for a challenge in a 'TV Show I used to do, Top... Something-or-Other'. Priceless.

What was your favourite Oliver moment?

  • Why the need for sarcasm? It was a golden age in my view and while it ended sadly, there are many things they can be proud of and it hasn't been surpassed. It is almost as if TG is now, to reference Orwell, 'unperson' when they refer to it, or at least that is how I see it

    • Maybe they are still not happy about what, why and how it happened.

    • Perhaps, it can't be denied what Clarkson did was wrong, the BBC was backed into a corner and couldn't do anything without risking everything. Alas what happened happened and we are stuck with the Grand Tour, a big disappointment for me....
