Right.. does anyone here have an l322 range rover? If so what is it like off-road. I'm thinking of getting one (because I won't be able to find a defender for love nor money) but I don't want to buy it and take it off road only to find myself constantly backing out of green lanes or driving around obstacles.

Sorry for the really wordy post 😅

  • With the right tyres, you really shouldn’t struggle, these are pretty damn capable out the box. Just avoid the early BMW engined ones, make sure it has history.

    • Would you have any tyre recommendations?, I don't want completely off-road Knobbly tires that sacrifice comfort and noise, but id like to be plenty capable.

      Cheers for the comment

    • Hmmm, maybe some solid all seasons? I can’t recall who makes them, but look at manufacturers suggestion, but an other option is cheap rims with horrid offroad tyres, so you can your cake and eat it, by swapping

  • Get something with live axles, get a Jeep, same price 15 billion times better offroad, maybe an XJ and you have a stronger aftermarket support

  • I think the only issue you will have with these, as much as anything, is mud.

    • Just like any other off-roader, best to avoid thick deep stuff?

    • Anywhere you can’t find traction. But tracks like these put a Landy in its element.
