Road to hell, a rally like no other

Why?

For most rally's one need's a pristine car, a lot of cash, and the right connections. Sure, there is a time and place for such events. But let's face it. If you're in your twenties/thirties, you've probably not got an abundance of the above. Of course, there are exceptions...

But loving cars is easy, and a lot of people do. So the founders of the RTH rally wanted to create an event where everyone that admires cars and want's to share their passion is welcome. And so we were invited to attend the rally this year.

Day 1

Starting at the Rare Street Coffee in Rapperswil, everybody got coffee, croissants, some general information, and their starting number. After receiving everything we headed towards the Furkapass, where we were greeted by Raclette from the trunk of a Jaguar xk150.

After what must have been the most swiss snack ever, we headed towards the legendary Belvedere hotel to get a couple of must-have shots when traversing the Furkapass.

Once we arrived on top of the Grimselpass we stopped to have lunch after which we headed towards the Revier hotel in Adelboden, where we would be spending the night. On our way towards the hotel, the poor MG MGB Roadster thought it would be a good idea to blow a head gasket.

The Revier had an apéro waiting for us and an awesome dinner followed. After which the Alpineracer Team went to bed, to be ready for the next day of shooting. But don't worry, if you wanted to hit the dance floor, the Revier had your back.

Day 2

The second day consisted of a lot of driving. So after a bright and early energizing breakfast, we headed towards the Schifflände restaurant at the Hallwilersee. Full of so-called "Fishchnuschperli" we started our final stint to the Freiruum in Zug where the winners of the rally were announced. And who'd of guessed it, the Raclette guys won...

So that concludes the RTH 2021. It was a weekend filled with great conversations, experiences, and even better memories. We'll be glad to join again in 2022, and you should join too.
