Quite recently, Rolls Royce unveiled the world's most expensive new car - the coachbuilt Boat Tail. The Boat Tail is a two-door, two-seat grand tourer that is 5900mm long and has been completely handbuilt. It is rumoured that a lot of celebrities, including Jay-Z and Beyonce want to buy one.

In collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Bovet 1822, Rolls Royce has unveiled some glorious timepieces for Boat Tail owners. Each one took 3,000 hours to make and can be worn as a normal watch or used as a pocket timepiece, a pendant or can even be placed in the Boat Tail's lovely dashboard.

The timepieces as made in pairs, for ladies and gentlemen, and have glorious 18K white gold cases intricate detailing. The front dials of the timepieces has the same Caleidolegno veneer as seen on the Boat Tail's rear deck. Also, the gentlemen's version of the watches have an aventurine dial featuring a celestial arrangement on its reverse side.

The reverse side of the lady's timepieces has a sculpture of the Spirit of Ecstasy and an embellished miniature painting of a flower bouquet.

"Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is a pure expression of owners' interests, influences and passions, with every detail minutely considered. We have enjoyed working with BOVET 1822 to create a pair of exquisite timepieces that also serve as Boat Tail’s dashboard clocks." said Torsten Muller-Otvos, Rolls-Royce CEO.

"These remarkable objects d’art, unique to the first iteration of Boat Tail, represent the finest examples of the skills and values shared by our two great luxury Houses,” he further said

  • Am I the odd one out? I don't like it, I don't like the dial missing its bottom half, I'd rather see a full dial.
