Roush has turned the 2021 Ford Ranger into a serious off-road beast
Just when we thought it couldn't get any better!
The year 2021 has brought us many things from the Singer ACS, to the revival of the MK2 Ford Escort, but what we are thankful for this week is the arrival of this; the 2021 Roush Raptor.
Based on the ordinary Ford Ranger Raptor, the 2021 Roush Raptor is the beefiest version money can buy, even more so than the Ranger Raptor which is already a fantastic thing off-road.
The 2021 Roush Ranger is available with off-road performance modifications and interior improvements. Straight away you will notice Roush has added a highly capable ROUSH/Fox 2.0 coilover suspension system. The front shocks provide a 2-inch of lift to level the truck's stance when the bed is empty. It also features 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 32-inch General Tyre Grabber A/TX all-terrain tyres for improved off-road performance and grip.
Other exterior parts include the signature Roush grille with LED lights as well as grey flared fenders and a graphics package which you will see along the side. Roush has also fitted a dual tip cat-back exhaust system which gives the 2.3L engine a little more aggression.
Inside, Roush has filled the cabin with premium leather seating with embroidered headrests, a custom gauge cluster, and a locking vault for the center console.
The 2021 Roush Ranger package is only available for trucks fitted with the 2.3L Ecoboost engine which is the most common variant anyway.
Pricing starts from $12,750 over the cost of the actual car and comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty. So, if you want to stand out at your next Ford Ranger meet (if that's a thing) then you should seriously consider these upgrades.
