RUSSELL BUILT FABRICATION BAJA: APOCALYPSE PORSCHE
At SEMA 2019 the Russell Built Fabrication presented a particular version of the Porsche 964 Carrera 4 redesigned to be used on off-road routes.
Named Baja in honor of the famous desert raid, it was equipped with a new aluminum body kit, new steel protective plates in the underbody and new knobbly tires to better adapt to rough roads.
The original suspensions have been replaced with reinforced models and the frame has been strengthened with the installation of a safety roll-bar.
The glass side windows were changed to sports Plexiglas versions while the cockpit was updated with a new Tilton aluminum pedals, Sparco sports seats with five-point belts, MoTeC digital instrumentation and a three-support sports steering wheel.
A 365 hp Boxer 3.8 driven by a five-speed manual transmission and combined with all-wheel drive was fitted as an engine, and the lighting system was upgraded with the installation of numerous additional LED headlights.

The whole vehicle has been lightened of every superfluous component to reach the weight of 1270 kg and to improve the maneuverability have been grafted new increased disc sport brakes.
