Baby Driver is this summer's must-watch car-based film - unless you're seven, of course, in which case it's probably Cars 3.
And the uncredited star of this 112-minute riot of cool music and even better driving is a red WRX, which the human hero, Baby, persuades into all sorts of unfeasible angles.
One of five stunts cars from the movie has cropped up on eBay, and the blurb confirms what we already knew: like most four-wheel drive cars filmed doing amazing stuff, the Baby Driver Imprezas were converted to rear-wheel drive.
The ad explains that the car was converted to rear-drive (presumably by welding up the centre diff) and had an upgraded rear differential fitted, plus an uprated STi-spec turbo. And that unusual red colour? The car was originally metallic grey.
Bidding was up to almost $50,000 at the time of writing, which ordinarily be a crazy amount of cash for a 158,000 mile Impreza described by the seller as having 'some dings and scratches' from filming. Dings and scratches? No kidding?
