Sabine Schmitz dead

She was 51 years old.

Sabine Schmitz; known for presenting Top Gear and as the queen of the Nürburgring, has been declared dead today. She died of cancer that she was fighting for 4 years. We only knew that she had it last year but now its too late.

The Nürburgring released a statement: "The Nürburgring has lost its most famous female racing driver. Sabine Schmitz passed away far too early after a long illness. We will miss her and her cheerful nature. Rest in peace Sabine!"

According to estimates, she drove between 20,000 and 30,000 laps of the Nürburgring in her lifetime.

    • Definitely but when I think of it someone driving round the Nürburgring like that was possibly lucky to live through those laps. I would have certainly crashed and died within that time and imagine how long Hammond would have last! But I...
