Sad life end for this Chevrolet Corvette C8
Heavily damaged then abandoned
Some cars are definitely not to be put in all hands. With their high power, supercars require a minimum of training. The latest example is the Chevrolet Corvette C8, which was found in a pitiful state in the middle of a desert in Arizona.
Little information is available about the accident but given the condition of the supercar, it is highly likely that the car went off the road at very high speed. For example, the front and rear parts are completely unrecognizable and shredded. Even if they have withstood the impact, the wheels are also damaged.
Nevertheless, the crumple zones and the very rigid central cell have done a good job of withstanding the accident. The other intriguing detail is the rear window housing the engine that blew up. With all the sand covering the bodywork, the car would most likely have rolled over several times.
It's the first time we've found an eighth-generation Corvette so damaged. As a reminder, the supercar is equipped with a 6.2-litre V8 developing 495 hp and 637 Nm of torque. The car sends all this power to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
