Say hello to the all-new Citroën C5!
The flagship Citroën shows us its face
Officially presented on April 12th, the third generation of the Citroën C5 made a premature appearance on the web this very morning. Good for us, who have been waiting for the vehicle for so long, and a shame for the French brand, which will not be able to benefit from an optimal surprise effect.
Coming straight from China, the first official photo of the new flagship Citroën shows us the front of the car with a singular look. With its sloping V-shaped daytime running lights, the new C5 draws direct inspiration from the C4, the facelifted C3 and the CXperience concept car to a greater extent.
The original face also features a double-set grille like on the C4 and headlights above what appear to be air intakes. The bonnet has hollowed out ends like the Peugeot 508. It should be noted that unlike the Peugeot, the C5 has a higher ground clearance.
The French sedan also uses the new angular mirrors from the Stellantis group, already present on the Peugeot 308, DS4 and Citroën C4. The profile and rear end have not yet been revealed, but they are expected to reuse elements from Citroën's previous sedans such as the DS19, CX and XM.
