Say hello to the electric NIO ET7
It has a mind-blowing 621 miles of range from a massive 150 kWh battery
Nio has revealed the stunning ET7 and, you guessed it, this is China's answer to the Tesla Model S.
Nio has blessed the ET7 with a massive 150 kWh battery. To put that into context, Tesla only puts a 100 kWh battery in its cars. That huge battery means that the ET7 has 621 miles (1,000km) of range. This figure is from the China’s NEDC testing protocol though, which means that we will have to wait until the WLTP test comes.
The interior looks plush and has an HUD (Heads-up display) and 23 speakers as standard. You will also find 10.2" instrument cluster and 12.8" center display inside. Before you ask, the air vents are "invisible" and present on both front and rear rows.
Another highlight of the ET7 is the Autonomous Driving Tech. NAD (NIO Autonomous Driving) brings "brings safer and more relaxing autonomous driving from point A to point B, gradually covering cases such as on expressways, urban, parking, and battery swapping." Nice.
The bulge on the windscreen facilitates the autonomous driving tech by featuring 33 “high performance sensing units” which generate eight gigabytes of data per second.
Want some performance numbers? The dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain 644bhp and 850 Nm of torque. Thanks to those specs, the ET7 can go from 0-62mph takes 3.9 seconds.
For now, Nio is offering ET7s with 70kWh and 100kWh batteries between $69,185 to $81,230. The deliveries will take place in the first quarter of 2022.
