Say hello to the Italian Hypercar FV Frangivento Asfanè Diecidieci!
For some time now, the number of very young car brands starting out in the supercar world with a distinctive model has literally multiplied. You may never have heard of Frangivento FV, a brand created by Italian businessman Paolo Mancini and designer Giorgio Pirolo. Normal, the small company was born in 2015! Despite its young age, the brand has already surrounded itself with several major names in the automotive industry: Pirelli, Sparco, Brembo and OZ Racing. This is enough to approach the sector with the greatest confidence!
The car, with its captivating, clever and intriguing design, was first presented as a prototype in 2016. This promising concept recently took a crowd bath on May 30 in Turin in its final form before moving on to the series production. "FV Frangivento Asfanè Diecidieci" is a rather complex and easily forgettable name that nevertheless has a key meaning: Asfanè is a term meaning in Piedmontese "what cannot be done", in reference to the fact that the brand has made the impossible possible with this car.
The mechanics impress as much as the extravagant style of the car. Under the hood is a 5.4L turbocharged V10 in a mid-position accompanied by two electric motors each located in one of the front wheels. The result is a four-wheel drive hypercar developing 1035 hp for a mass of 3417 lbs (1550 kg). This is what it takes to enter the select group of hyper cars!
With these first official images, we notice with joy that the production model will be very close to the incredible 2016 concept. The car is a series of curves and edges, using all kinds of materials. In the end, the FV Frangivento Asfanè Diecidieci will adopt a revolutionary design that is completely contrary to what is currently being done on the market.
The interior is in the continuity of the exterior: completely crazy! The cockpit thus looks more like an abstract art gallery than a supercar cockpit. The red and white leather is combined with a piece of aluminium with ingenious integration. The aviation-inspired steering wheel features a curious blue pattern in its centre, while the butterfly door handles are yellow pistols (no kidding!). The gear lever is none other than the car in miniature format.
This car with its particularly bold design would almost make the Ferrari and Lamborghini look simple! And we grant you, this design will not be appreciated by everyone, although the brand has already received positive feedback from potential customers in China, Italy and the Middle East. Its price, which will be just as staggering, is unknown, but it should easily reach $2.3 million / £1.8 million.
