Scoop: here is the series production Cupra Formentor!
Cupra is the sports brand of the Spanish manufacturer Seat, created in 2018. Its first model was the Ateca, a radical version of the Seat Ateca. Today, the arrival of a second model entirely designed by Cupra is imminent. It will be a coupe SUV with a very sculpted body presented as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.
Unfortunately for the brand, the surprise is missed since the car leaked in the form of computer design drawings. Compared to the concept, there is a faithful and sporty design with an aggressive front end with the huge Cupra logo. The headlights are always very sharp. The bumper includes huge air intakes.
In profile, there are always tight lines accompanied by curved wheel arches giving more muscle to the whole. The roof line is very descending, especially for an SUV. To the rear, it is connected to a large spoiler. The rear is made up of original taillights linked by a light strip. There is one air diffuser and four exhaust tailpipes.
The cabin will be equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a large touch screen. The gearshift will be very small, as on the mk8 Golf, and the Formentor should adopt a 245 hp plug-in hybrid unit, as on the new Golf GTE. The Cupra Formentor will be able to run on all electric power for 30 mi.
