Content creation is like keeping a giant monster pet in the backyard of your mind. It constantly needs feeding and attention. As hardcore fans of Clarkson, Hammond and May, we've been devouring their content for the best part of twenty years and we've seen changes. Season 1, 2 and 3 of The Grand Tour were a continuation and evolution of the old Top Gear format and Season 4 welcomed a new format, with long adventures.

The first two films were wrapped up before the pandemic but the third film, originally set to take place in Russia, was delayed and then cancelled, and replaced by an all-new episode filmed in "giant oil painting that is Scotland".

For the latest episode of the Grand Tour - aptly titled 'LOCHDOWN' and potentially scheduled to be released by the end of July - Jeremy, James and Richard head to Scotland, a familiar landscape, using Hammond's favourite tool: American cars.

In the teaser trailer shared on The Grand Tour's Tik Tok account, they attempt to cross an unnamed body of water on a floating bridge, driving a Cadillac Coupe DeVille (May), a Lincoln Continental Mark V from the 1970s (Clarkson) and a Chrysler Imperial LeBaron Crown Coupe. The special was filmed on location between October 2020 and March 2021 and Clarkson confirmed there's another episode coming by the end of the year. Fingers crossed.

  • I see no Chrysler. The green car is a Buick Riviera.
