Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003S aims for 6:37 Nürburgring record lap
The American car maker expects to achieve a 6:37 lap record at the Nürburgring, that's 30 seconds faster than the current lap record by the Porsche 918 Weissach Package. The SCG003S will use a 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 engine which'll produce 800 horsepower and 627 lb ft torque. It'll hit 0-62 in under 3 seconds and max out at an incredible 217mph (350km/h). The engine will use a 7-speed gearbox operated with electro-pnuematic paddle shifters behind the wheel. The company has said that it is the world's fastest cornering car ever, much similar to the Aston Martin Red Bull 001 hypercar.
But despite all of this mind-boggling performance, the car will have an ergonomic interior. Both the passenger and the driver will be able to access the Traction Control and Driving Mode Dials easily. There'll also be the center console which houses the contorls for the air conditioning system, lights, central door locks, hazards and so on. You will even be able to lift the nosse and the rear of the car at 30mph (48km/h) which means, unlike other supercars and hypercars, you won't have to completely stop to a standstill if you wantt to go over a speed-bump. The price? Most likely over a million pounds but then again you'll be buying a rarified hypercar that'tt hopefully top the Nürburgring leaderboard of lap times.
