Well, I gotta be honest. Having visted lots of car shows over the years, I've come to realize: I don't like car shows. What I do like though is a good ol' american classic's car meet. The nicest kind of people/owners and the coolest cars out there. So of course I visited the local season start event here and boy was it good. Just a couple of days earlier I was talking to a good friend of mine about how we've never seen a Bullitt Mustang replica around here and boom; First I see one at the general season opening event [ See my article "Season Start 2018 ] and a couple of days later I see another one and guess what it's parked next to....
A car meet doesn't get much better than this...
Almost as rare as Bullitt cars are Z28 Camaros. I just love those things!
A yellow '69 Z28... So damn sexy!
Or are you more of an '67 Camaro kinda guy? Well, there you go:
I just love when non-car people ask: "Where are the headlights?"
Did you know a Mustang Station Wagon was a thing? Well it is now....
When you think you've seen it all...
Quiet an interesting sight! What do you think?
And what do you think about widebody 'vettes?
I do hope he said something like: 'come on son, let's go check out the Bullitt cars..."
Still not sure what to make of this...
The last good looking Mustang models. '69/'70. Red or blue. What's it for you?
Red Mach1.
Cobra Jet powered '69 Mustang.
Or are you more of a flashy kinda Mustang fan?
Just imagine back in the day if you worked construction and this was your caboose:
When utility was utility and cool...
Now, I love the '70 Nova...but that color.......?!
Am I the only one having second thoughts about that color?!
On my way home I spotted this awesome gangster lineup. What a sight!
Back in the '60s- when you were a gangster, that's what you drove!
A mean pair of Buick Rivieras
Also a perfect example of classy gangsterness. Matte black and chrome just works...
Next up was a pimp and his muscle!
What a profile! And fantastic sound!
A beautiy of an Impala!
What a lineup!
In my opinion the american classic era has brought us the over all best tire/rim combo set ups of all time. JDM, Euro, Exotic, italian classics... they all don't hold water to those fat rubber + deep dish 5 spoke designs:
Perfect set up.
One of the coolest front designs ever...
...the '67 GTO.
And as I was about to leave the premises I spotted this bad ass Chevy C10 or Ford Pickup Truck making its way through the regular german traffic. Such a cool sight!
Look at that rear rubber...
In case you want to take a look at all the other pictures that I took at this event, you can either go through the gallery:
Or check them out on my facebook page:
As always, any kind of feedback is more than welcome. I hope you enjoyed what you saw. Because I certainly did!
Cheers and until next time- Haul ass!
