SEAT has revealed what its first EV will look like, before it Is shown to the public at the Geneva motor show.

It is based on the Volkswagen MEB platform, giving it a similar look and proportions to the VW I.D Neo concept first shown in 2016.

The EV is a concept car, but it looks like very few changes will be needed to make the design production ready.

The battery pack holds 62KW, allowing a range of 261 miles on WLPT. The El-Born is then able to recharge at up to 100KW through CCS. SEAT has confirmed the battery will have thermal management, to cool the battery pack in hotter climates or after numerous supercharging sessions.

SEAT say they have created a “sporty vehicle” with 204ps and a 0-62 time of 7.5 seconds.

The El-Born will be on sale sometime in 2020, after the launch of the VW I.D Neo
